Illamasqua

Pale people and make up commonly do not mix. It is forever too yellow and in my case, all the top brands such as  MAC, NARS, Dior, Benefit...the list really does go on, they do have a range of lighter skin tone based foundations yet always with a yellow tinted base. Having heritage from Scotland and Ireland naturally I have a very pink complexion. So you can imagine the struggles.

It is from reading reviews and many hours walking around shops that I came across the best thing ever.

Illamasqua

I'd heard of this brand many times before however, more in relation to their collections of Nail-Polish. Taking a leap of faith one day I asked to be colour matched and heaven forbid I actually perfectly matched one of their Skin Base foundations. Needless to say I was ecstatic!

Another important factor is that this brand has brought it's prices inline with how much it is overseas. Being in Australia 95% of all International make up brands mark the price up anywhere from 60% - 150% as compared to US or EU prices. For Example the angled brush only cost me $27 AUD whereas at MAC I would've paid at least $45/$50 AUD for the same product. Not belittling larger companies such as these - but you would receive a lot more business if the prices were slightly more reasonable but again this is my personal opinion.

So here we have a small collection shot. Containing;
* Angled Brush
* Blusher Brush
* Precision Gel Liner - Colour Infinity (Black)
* Eye Brow Cake - Colour Thunder (Brown)
* Satin Primer
* Skin Base Foundation - Shade SB 02

 Both the primer and foundation work wonderfully together to create a soft tone, that makes the wearer look luminescent in their own skin - not a cake faced twat.

 Now this baby has become my new friend. Using the angled brush my eyebrows have never looked better. Naturally my eyebrows are blonde and I've actively made the decision to tint them often. This helps keep them looking nice :)

Now this baby is bloody amazing and so worth it. It has the largest amount of product within it ON THE ENTIRE MARKET of gel eyeliners - so you actually get what you pay for here guys.

Using the angled brush it goes on like a dream and it stays there!
I was always so frustrated with the pen style eyeliner pens as the nib was forever drying out after only a few uses ( even with putting the lid back on immediately ) so this is my first good quality gel eyeliner and i'm never going back!

Now this Angled brush is the most accurate i've found on the market so far. Generally speaking the Angled Brush will usually be slightly longer than this and I've found that a longer brush actually disables you from getting a good line but that's my personal opinion. This brush is quite short and easy to manoeuvre and each line is perfect - every time! Cleaning the brush is obviously important as I use it for both my eyebrows and eye liner so using any good quality brush cleaner is a good idea. I currently use the MAC brush cleaner.
